Church of Lymilark - Father Julian

The Church is a large organization with branches in nearly every city in Uladh. It preaches love, kindness, forgiveness, and a respect for life and magic (two things inseparably intertwined in its scriptures). It also preaches against alchemy, teaching that it corrupts the very Erg the world runs on. Its priests are known for their gentle and understanding attitude, strong faith, and good looks.

It stands separate from every city and, technically, follows its own laws and not that of any king or other leader.

Guards - The church is not a militant organization, but it understands the need for protection. The following are listed as [Type] - (Quality/Quantity)

Guard Line-Up
Spoiler:
Tir Chonaill - During peaceful times, there is no more than one or two guards in the church at a time. The rest are at home or doing other jobs and can be summoned as need be. The guards who are at the church are inconspicuous and rarely in the main room.

Dunbarton - During peaceful times, there are usually two to four guards at the church at one time. The rest can be summoned if needed. Half of the guards on duty stay outside while the other half remain inside in inconspicuous locations.

Emain Macha - During peaceful times, there are usually four to six guards at the church at one time, one of the above being a paladin. The rest can be summoned if needed. Half of the guards on duty (Usually including the paladin) stay outside while the other half remain in inconspicuous locations inside the church.

Taillteann - During peaceful times, there are usually four to six guards at the church at one time. The rest can be summoned if needed. No more than two guards are outside the church at a given time, the rest remain in inconspicuous locations inside the church.

Tara - During peaceful times, there are usually ten to fourteen guards at the church at one time, none of which are cavalry. The rest of the guards, and the cavalry, can be summoned if needed. Half of the guards on duty stay outside while the other half remain in inconspicuous locations inside the church.

Arrests
The guards of the church can’t actually do this! Instead, they take the miscreants and law breakers to the guards of their respective city so that they can be properly arrested.

NPCs
The main NPCs are there and do everything they actually do.
It is also safe to assume that they all have aids, helpers, and attendants.
You can control all of the above as long do so in a minor, mature, and intelligent fashion. If you see someone controlling church NPCs in a way that is not minor, mature, and intelligent please contact me.
You may also create minor unnamed NPCs if and when they are necessary and/or logical.

NPC status
The members of the church are almost entirely Erinn born, as most soul streamers find them attracted to the other, “louder”, gods. Nearly all of them are at least proficient in some type of magic, usually healing. They are currently keeping an eye out for trouble.

Church Status
None of the churches are blown up or on fire for once. Yay!
There is currently the basic foundations of a small church outside of Cor. (Yay!)

Church Services
Aside from the basic church services (like confession and preaching) the church takes on these duties:
Weddings - If you need to get married, you contact the church. This is pretty simple.
Orphanages and temporary child services - The Church takes care of some (if not most) of the orphans in Uladh. It also can and will take care of children while their parents are indisposed.
Temporary housing - The Church is known for always having a bed for those in need. While this isn’t technically true, it does its best. Expect to be woken up at dawn for services and given chores, though.
Aid for the poor and homeless - The church accepts and then hands out food, clothes, and money to the poor.
Counseling - Healing for the soul. Priests of the church are always there to lend a kind ear and helpful word to those in need.
Funerals - The church facilitates funerals as well as tends to the graves of the dead.
Sanctuary - Someone staying within the church may be protected from the laws of the kingdom.

Outreach
The church is always attempting to spread the light to others. Currently, it is working on instructing the Formors and those in Iria in the teachings of Lymilark.
Iria - Lead by Father Aedan Ceallair, an optimistic and stubborn man who has suffered an unreasonable amount of arrow wounds and broken bones, Church forays in to Iria have been difficult at best. They have been, however, been slightly successful in Cor.
Fomors - Mother Caitrin Ailbhe leads the Church’s program of Human-Formor relations on the human side. She has had far better luck than Father Aedan at establishing a foothold, but it is, as ever, slow going and with many setbacks.

PCs involved with the church:
Dalvar Belendin
Pinella Black
Gate
Faivayne Aurelius
